NCR Printing

You are here: Home > NCR Printing

NCR stands for ‘no carbon required’. This is a modern replacement for traditional carbon paper, where what you write on the paper is transferred onto the paper underneath. This is often used for forms or where you want to make duplicate copies of items such as receipts, invoices etc. NCR printing is for businesses and individuals wanting a personalised and professional finish.

The science behind NCR

The transfer happens when pressure is applied to the top sheet, this can be by a pencil or pen. This pressure causes small capsules to burst and release dye, which is then absorbed by a clay-based bottom sheet and an exact transfer is produced.

Clever stuff hey! But you don’t have to worry about the science. We take care of that bit and you just get a professional, mess free solution to duplicating forms and documents.
